We are seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to join our INPEX Development team in Perth on an Employee Max Term 2 Year contract. Join us in helping shape a brighter energy future.
Key responsibilities:
The Senior Cost Estimator is responsible for the development of accurate and robust capital cost estimates, along with associated analysis and reporting, across all project phases. The role supports decision-making by providing high-quality cost insights for offshore oil and gas developments.
- Develop capital cost estimates for offshore facilities, including fixed and floating platforms, subsea systems, pipelines, FPSOs and associated infrastructure, including conceptual to detailed estimates.
- Prepare time-based cost phasing and forward escalation assessment.
- Build and maintain cost models using engineering data, historical information, and industry benchmarks.
- Prepare independent company estimates for comparison against contractor bids.
- Review contractor and vendor quotations to validate scope coverage and pricing assumptions.
- Analyse key cost drivers, including materials, labour, equipment, logistics, installation, and contracting strategies.
What we’re looking for:
We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences. You will be a strong fit for this role if you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
- Extensive experience in cost estimation within oil and gas projects.
- Advanced Cost Estimating skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
This role is for applicants residing in or willing to relocate to Perth.
