We are seeking a Principal Reservoir Engineer and Decision Risk Analyst to join our INPEX Subsurface team in Perth on an Employee 2 Year Max Term contract. Join us in helping shape a brighter energy future.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Significant experience and competency in reservoir engineering, reservoir simulation, and integrated production modelling
    • Generate probabilistic integrated production modelling forecasts
    • Expand models to integrate new fields and wells in the forecasts
    • Perform and document thorough QC of inputs and model results
    • Assess value and trade-off of multiple depletion strategies, development scenarios, development sequences
    • Forecast reliability review: perform lookbacks on forecast and drive continuous improvement
  • Prepare technical documents and reports supporting recommendations, business plan forecast, assumptions, constraints, and gas supply strategy
  • Generate case maps of scenarios to assess
  • Significant experience in economic analysis and decision analysis
    • Generate economic metrics from production forecasts
    • Develop probabilistic decision trees to recommend optimal decision under uncertainties and constraints

 

What we’re looking for:

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences. You will be a strong fit for this role if you bring: 

  • Minimum of degree qualifications in Petroleum Geoscience or Engineering
  • Post-graduate petroleum qualification preferred
  • Demonstratable experience working in the oil and gas industry on exploration and development projects.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary subsurface team
  • Previous experience working on the North West Australian shelf is preferable
  • Experience of using Petrel, tNavigator, IPM suite, Quorum software

 

This role is for applicants residing in or willing to relocate to Perth.
