We are seeking expressions of interest for an exciting 2‑year fixed‑term employee opportunity as Shutdown Team Lead, supporting shutdown, campaign, and project delivery at the Ichthys Onshore LNG facilities. Based in Perth, this role offers the opportunity to play a key leadership role in major maintenance activities, with periodic travel to the onshore facilities.
This role is well suited to professionals who enjoy leading cross‑functional teams, shaping maintenance execution outcomes, and influencing planning and readiness in complex operational environments.
About the Role:
The Shutdown Team Lead plays a critical role in ensuring shutdowns, campaigns, and maintenance implementation activities are prioritised, planned, and executed safely and efficiently.
Leveraging strong facility knowledge, you will work closely with Perth‑based planners and coordinators to support maintenance scheduling and operational readiness. You will also provide on‑site leadership during key phases of shutdown preparation, execution, and close‑out.
Key responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Lead safe, efficient shutdown, maintenance and campaign planning and execution.
- Provide visible HSE leadership and support risk assessments.
- Coordinate teams, stakeholders, contractors and work packs.
- Drive IAP processes, schedule optimisation and vendor readiness.
- Support risk management, MOC and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute operational insight to planning, constructability and strategy.
- Act as focal point for assigned contractors and promote continuous improvement.
- Act as a key interface between Perth office and site teams to maintain alignment.
- Apply site experience to guide planning quality and execution readiness.

- A relevant technical, engineering or maintenance background (degree or diploma desirable).
- Experience supporting maintenance, shutdown or project delivery in operational environments.
- Ability to work with operational systems, planning tools and commercial inputs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Confidence leading teams and coordinating work across multiple functions.
- A collaborative, improvement‑focused approach.
This role is for applicants residing in or willing to relocate to Perth.
