As a Senior Environmental Advisor within our HSE team, you'll support the delivery of environmental approvals and compliance activities across INPEX Australia's operations and development projects. This 3-year maximum term opportunity will see you work closely with regulators, project teams and operational stakeholders to help secure approvals, manage compliance obligations and support responsible environmental outcomes. Occasional interstate and regional travel may be required.

About the role

Reporting to the Environmental Projects Team Lead, you'll coordinate environmental approvals and compliance activities, support regulatory engagement and help ensure environmental commitments and approval conditions are effectively implemented and maintained.

Working across projects and operations, you'll provide advice on environmental obligations, support approvals strategies and contribute to effective compliance management across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental approvals and compliance activities across INPEX Australia.
• Support engagement with Commonwealth, State and Territory regulators.
• Prepare and coordinate environmental approval strategies, applications and supporting documentation.
• Maintain compliance systems, records and reporting requirements.
• Provide advice on environmental legislation, approval conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits, inspections and compliance assurance activities.

Helpful for success in this role

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Experience preparing or supporting environmental approval applications and regulatory submissions.
• Familiarity with Australian environmental legislation and approvals processes.
• Experience with compliance, audit or assurance activities.
