We are seeking a Senior Category Specialist to join our INPEX Contracts and Procurement team in Perth. Join us in helping shape a brighter energy future.
Key responsibilities include:
- The Senior Category Specialist works with the Category Principal to develop and maintain Category Strategies, provide specialist advice and execute Category Management activities in line with Category Strategy/Sourcing Plan, specified guidelines and business requirements to confirm surety of supply, minimum Supply risk and best value for the business.
- Manages the execution of sourcing events. (Undertake development, compilation, sourcing, pre-tenders, Invitations to Tender, tender openings, and evaluations of proposals received)
- Works collaboratively with Contract Advisory team (where CA team is involved) to ensure all sourcing activities for lower tier contracts are executed in alignment with Category Plan.
- Provide advice and support to Contract Owners in their responsibility for post award Contract Management.
Successful candidates will have:
- Demonstrated experience in contract and category management, in Technology/IT category and in Oil and Gas/Resource environment.
- CIPS or equivalent qualification in Procurement and Supply Chain Management is a plus.
- Has a good understanding of Contract Management Software (Ariba) and ERP systems (SAP), including managing end-to-end sourcing projects and post-award contract administration and ongoing contract hygiene.
- Develops and fosters relationships within the business and externally, keeping abreast of operational needs and external market trends
- Capable of performing analytics with large data sets to identify trends and patterns in spending behaviour, linking to opportunities in respective categories
- Is value-focused, and stops doing things that don't add value, challenges the process, sparks change to deliver value over process
- Understands local content requirements in the contracting process
