We are seeking an Environmental Science Vacation Student to join our INPEX Commercial and Energy Transition team in Perth on a 12-week paid placement.

About the INPEX Vacation Student Program:

 

The INPEX Vacation Student Program offer a structured, 12-week paid experience for university students in their penultimate year of study. You’ll work side by side with our energy industry experts, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real projects.

 

The INPEX Vacation Student Program will run from November 24th, 2025, to February 13th, 2026.

 

Responsibilities may include:

 

  • Assisting INPEX Revegetation Specialists in assessing the carbon potential of revegetation sites
  • Assisting with the desktop evaluation of revegetation opportunities and nature-based outcomes
  • Assist with the creation of documents used in the approvals and administration of carbon projects
  • Supporting the teams with fieldwork requirements, including nursery evaluations, seedling survival counts, and other tasks as required

 

 

Successful candidates will:

 

  • Students in their penultimate (2nd last) year of their bachelor’s or master’s degree with major in environmental science, agricultural science, agribusiness, forestry or a similar related field.
  • Be motivated, proactive and have an interest in the energy industry.
  • Have excellent communication skills with a strong academic history.
  • Have a collaborative personality and thrive while working in a team 

 

To be eligible for the INPEX Vacation Student Program you are required to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident at time of application.
