We are looking for an Analytics & Data Lead professional to provide strategic, technical and people leadership across analytics and data platforms, enabling high‑quality reporting, advanced analytics and data governance across INPEX Australia
About the Role:
This is a senior, influential role within our Technology function. You will set direction for enterprise analytics and data platforms, partner closely with business leaders, and lead teams to deliver trusted, scalable and future‑ready analytics solutions that improve decision‑making, performance and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategy & Direction: Set and lead the strategy, roadmap and delivery of enterprise analytics, reporting, and data platforms aligned to business priorities.
- People Leadership: Lead and develop onshore and offshore analytics and data teams, building capability, performance, engagement and a strong safety and inclusion culture.
- Business Partnership: Partner with business leaders to understand information needs and translate them into high‑value analytics, reporting and data science solutions.
- Platform & Data Governance: Embed analytics and data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, security, compliance and appropriate risk management.
- Commercial Management: Manage budgets, planning, vendors and service providers to ensure cost‑effective, timely and high‑quality delivery of analytics and data platform initiatives.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a recognised technical authority, applying emerging technologies and best practice to improve insight, scalability and business performance.
What we’re looking for:
We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences. You will be a strong fit for this role if you bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Information Management, Data, Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise analytics and data platforms, including reporting, advanced analytics and data governance.
- Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable analytics and data solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with modern analytics platforms and tools (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SAP analytics technologies, or equivalent).
- Proven capability to collaborate, influence and build trusted relationships with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- A leadership approach that develops people, values inclusion and encourages diverse perspectives.
This role is for applicants residing in or willing to relocate to Perth.
