We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our INPEX Finance department based in Perth.



Key responsibilities include:



  • Member of the Finance Team providing Management Accounting services for Drilling campaigns by supporting the Drilling and Subsurface teams
  • Support the coordination of the consolidation of the Drilling department impacts on cash calls, ensuring inputs are collected in a way they can be allocated to an AFE or Company.
  • Support preparation of budget/forecast for the Drilling team
  • Recommend accounting treatments by releasing position papers to clarify internal procedures and policies when applied to Drilling or when unplanned events falling outside the said procedures or policies occur.
  • Assist with the Drilling campaigns to achieve on time and under budget outcomes
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and half-yearly financial reporting.
  • Maintain reporting standards, with support from the offshore Management Accounting team.



Key qualifications, skills and experience required:


  • Undergraduate degree – Accounting
  • CPA/CA/CIMA (or similar international recognition).
  • Experience within the Oil & Gas sector
  • Experience with SAP (desirable)
  • Ability to identify when business activities impact on Finance needs and seeks guidance to deliver/win outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
